Berita 24 English -According to government figures released on Tuesday, Japan's unemployment rate fell to 2.5 percent in April, while job availability surged.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was lower than March's 2.6 percent, which was also the consensus expectation for April in a Reuters poll of experts.

According to labor ministry data, the jobs-to-applicants ratio was 1.23 in April, up 0.01 point from the previous month's 1.22 and in line with a Reuters poll.
