Berita 24 English -
On Tuesday, Indonesia's central bank maintained its benchmark policy rate at a record low, aiming to support Southeast Asia's largest economy while ensuring financial market stability amid the risk of capital outflows.

Bank Indonesia (BI) maintained its seven-day reverse repurchase rate at 3.50 per cent, unchanged from February, as predicted by a Reuters poll of 23 economists.

Additionally, the central bank maintained the overnight deposit and lending facility rates at 2.75 per cent and 4.25 per cent, respectively.

Since 2020, BI has cut interest rates by a total of 150 basis points, injected more than $55 billion of liquidity into the financial system, and relaxed lending rules to aid the economy's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
